Army Knowledge Online (AKO) provides corporate intranet services and single web portal to the United States Army. AKO provides the US Army with email, AKO - Army Knowledge Online is a robust and scalable enterprise portal and process platform that empowers the access of users to this system
All Kinds of Contracted Cadets must register on the AKO web site and receive an AKO id. Non-Contracted Cadets may also have an account, however they will need a sponsor.
Army ROTC cadets are authorized full Army Knowledge On-line accounts. Previously, cadets needed a sponsor in order to activate an account, however this is no longer required. Monthly extracts from CCIMS will validate cadets requesting accounts. It is important to keep CCIMS up to date and ensure SSN, DOB, etc are accurate. You can Forward your AKO Mail:
In order to forward your address, follow the steps listed below:
- Log into the AKO Portal: https://www.us.army.mil/portal/portal_home.jhtml
- Choose “My Email Options” – On the left side of the Home Page
- Change the information and click Submit
Procedures to request a Cadet AKO Account:
- Go to http://www.us.army.mil
- Select “New User”
- Click on Next
- Click on Next again
- Enter your SSN
- Enter your Birth Date , than enter it again
The next screen will display the Cadet Name – follow the directions on the screen
